Professional Certification to begin a career in hypnosis
Upon completion of the Basic Techniques of Hypnosis and fulfillment of all requirements the student is certified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist.
Certificationis also available through the National Guild of Hypnotists as a Certified Hypnotist, Certified Hypnotherapist, or Consulting Hypnosist. Upon completion of Advanced Techneques of hypnosis and fulfillment of all requirements the student is qualified to sit for Board Certification.
Expanding a set of tools in an existing Psychotherapy, NLP, or Coaching practice
To incorporate into an Energy or Massage practice
To enjoy going into deeper states of consciousness for spiritual growth and fun
Our Hypnotherapy Classes fully cover all of these areas. So, whether you're interested in pursuing hypnotherapy as a career, or you're just curious about it, our program will give you the experience you're seeking.
Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy The school is a fully certified organization. We are always improving our program to meet with the changing interests and focus of our students. We are confident the program is one of the finest available anywhere. As our courses evolve we are confirming that understanding by re-certifying under the NGH and the ACHE.
Both instructors of the Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy as well as the registrar/ teaching assistant are all Board Certified Hypnotists. The registrar/teaching assistant and the school director by the NGH and the co- instructor by the ACHE. All guest instructors are accredited professionals in their field of expertise.
Certified “Clinical Hypnotherapist”
Students who successfully complete the course “Basic Techniques of Hypnosis” and who meet the moral and professional standards required to join the profession; receive certification by the Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy as a “Clinical Hypnotherapist.”

Certified “Consulting Hypnotist”
We recommend that students who receive certification from the Idaho School of Professional Hypnotherapy also join the National Guild of Hypnotists. NGH accepts the curriculum and work done in the “Basic Techniques of Hypnosis” course toward membership and certification by the guild. The individual can choose to be certified as a “Hypnotist,” “Hypnotherapist,” or “Consulting Hypnotist.” The NGH prefers “Hypnotist” or “Consulting Hypnotist” to “Hypnotherapist” but are willing to certify a member as a Hypnotherapist if they wish.
The ACHE offers various types of certification that are equivalent to those offered by NGH.
Board Certified Hypnotist
Board Certified Hypnotist is the most prestigious level of certification available in the field today. There are just over 200 Board Certified Hypnotists worldwide, many in Europe. Both the NGH and the ACHE offer programs in board certification.
Our expectation is that top level professionals will seek this level of certification.
Students who successfully complete the course “Advanced Techniques of Hypnosis” and who meet the moral and professional standards required to join the profession are well prepared to sit for the NGH Board examinations.
The “Advanced Techniques” graduating class of 2009 had four students who attempted the NGH Board Certification Examinations. All passed. One has completed their required paper and three are currently working on that final requirement.
