We have received a number of inquiries about getting started in the practice of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.  This describes some of the support available.

Malpractice Insurance

In order to take advantage of opportunities available in the community, the hypnotist or hypnotherapist must secure malpractice insurance.

Several forms of malpractice insurance are available both through insurance companies and the National Guild of Hypnotists.

This insurance usually runs less than $200 per year for part-time practitioners.

Nationwide Hypnosis Associates

Individuals who complete the required training for the hypnosis professions, who possess adequate malpractice insurance and who meet the moral and professional qualifications may be “invited” to share office space with Nationwide Hypnosis Associates.  This arrangement provides office time on a secondary basis at an extremely reasonable rate.  The arrangement is usually by the month and involves use of the scheduler and office space for “up to a maximum number of hours per month.”

The Nationwide principal partners expect to provide mentoring and advice to those who share office space in their facility.

Idaho Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists

The Idaho Chapter of the National Guild of Hypnotists exists for the purpose of expanding and enhancing the practice of hypnosis in Southwestern Idaho.  This group provides regular programs designed to enhance and extend the practice of hypnosis and hypnotherapy.  These programs are focused toward practicing professionals and are of significant value to student as well.

Participating in this organization exposes the new hypnotist or hypnotherapist or student to the extended community of hypnosis professionals in this region.
